At Our Lady of Grace School in Kenya, a powerful mission has been unfolding for over a decade, illuminating the lives of orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children. These young souls, facing unimaginable challenges, find sanctuary at OLG, where the conviction that every child is created in the image of God is at the core of their journey. OLG aims to nurture these children emotionally, socially, spiritually, and academically, ensuring they have the same competitive edge as any other child. The Challenge: Uniforms for a Brighter Future
While OLG initially provided full school uniforms to the children it served, financial constraints necessitated a change. The burden of uniform provision was shifted to the parents, but now in light of worldwide economic challenges, it has become evident that many families struggle to provide their children with proper school attire.
Our Lady of Grace needed help to provide new school uniforms to the students at OLG Kindergarten and Primary School. OLG currently caters to 98 children between ages 3 to 5 in kindergarten, 246 students in primary, and 45 scholarship recipients in secondary schools across the country. Among these children, the majority come from challenging backgrounds, and they rely on the support of generous donors and partners.
